WORK SCOPE

 

Reporting to Japan Country Manager, the successful sales application engineer manages the technical supports to the next level for all customers with thorough understanding of Arkamys technologies and detailed knowledge of applications for the automotive market in Japan.

He helps to build a strong sales pipeline which will deliver against Arkamys Japan’s overall business goals.

 

Main responsibilities :

• Formulate and manage the overall engineering support action plans in near- and long-terms for Automotive market
• Establish the system architecture of Arkamys value chain in automotive segment from the audio source to the playback
• Manage pipeline of multiple prospects to aggressive deadlines and successful resolution
• Own relationship with the technical contacts at customers and prospective customers and ensure the high level of satisfaction with the engineering supports of Arkamys
• Provide technical support in direct account meetings, events and customer visits
• Deliver systems-level analysis and advice to existing and potential customers
• Present technical briefings of existing and forthcoming Arkamys technologies
• Deliver customers and partner training and provide technical supports
• Support new and existing customers in Arkamys products implementation approval
• Provide technical analysis of product test results and recommend necessary changes to ensure successful product implementation
• Interact with customers and new prospects as needed to conduct the business of technology licensing using a diplomatic, professional and service-oriented approach, including written correspondence and face-to-face meetings. Establish and / or maintain relationships
• Contribute to internal project specification and validation process
• Manage the day-to-day communication in defined market areas on technical issues, communicating with Arkamys’ Engineering in headquarters and in other regions and following-up outstanding technical and licensing issues both internally and with customers
• Report technical trends and innovative methods to drive new product features
• Leverage customer meetings to gather intelligence about customers’ end product plans, product requirements and sharing data with relevant internal Arkamys’ teams. Interface with Arkamys Engineering and Marketing to provide input and suggestions for new products and features, based on customer needs and competitive information

What you have :

We expect that the successful candidate will possess the following experience and qualifications:

• Understanding of CE/ Automotive products and market trends
• Understand customer requirements, delivering technical presentations, technology demonstrations, and promoting the value proposition of Arkamys audio technologies to customers
• High level of comfort escalating and presenting key business issues to senior management
• Technical lead for sales-orientated technical presentations and demonstrations to customers’ technical staff and senior management
• Understanding about Digital Audio/ Analog Audio, Broadcast Specifications, Audio Signal Processing and Acoustics preferred (Perceptual Coding, Lossless codec, sound tuning, post processing algorithms)
• In-depth working knowledge of audio and video technologies and their integration into ICs and firmware solutions for integration into consumer electronics, PCs TVs, mobile devices, set-top boxes, and In-vehicle infotainment systems
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
• Position will require some domestic and international travel
