The Automotive Field Application Engineer is working on a day-to-day basis with the Automotive Sales Team, with PMs and Engineers based in Paris (HQ) and in Asia (Delhi / Seoul / Tokyo / Shanghai).

The FAE is involved in all ARKAMYS Automotive Products and in the full Sales and Development process:

  • Pre-Sales:
    – Contribute to pre-sales activities organization in collaboration with Sales Team
    – Support local demonstration preparation
    – Understand customer’s needs from a technical and product perspective
    – Define technical solutions to match with customer needs
    – Review, understand, define Customer’s platform (architecture, chip, resources…)
    – Contribute to the Technical propositions (RFI, RFQ, SOW)
  • Customer’s projects development:
    – Define technical resources allocation priorities with support from Project Managers based in HQ
    – On-site support during integration process
    – Technical window person between customer, PM and back-office engineers
    – Support during production
  • India Office Development:
    – Automotive solution adaptation to local market
    – Definition of local needs to increase internal process efficiency

His/her primary zone of responsibility will be India but he/she might also be involved in other regions.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Main technical interface and main point-of-contact for Indian customers
  • Local support during project integration phases
  • Interface between Paris R&D and customer’s engineers
  • Diagnose and as much as possible resolve customer’s issues during integration phase
  • Support Pre-Sales and Post-Sales activities (Product & Process presentation, demo preparation…)
  • Provide feedback to HQ regarding ARKAMYS solutions & process
  • Draft technical proposal (SOW) document in collaboration with customer’s engineers and HQ R&D
  • Manage program schedule to cope with customer’s expectations and engineering delivery capability

Position will require some domestic and international travel

  • Internal: Country Manager, Sales Team, HQ PM and Engineers
  • Report to: Country Manager

 

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar
  • 3-year experience in Automotive Infotainment environment (Semiconductor, Tier1, OEM…)
  • Customer facing experience
  • Audio enthusiastic
  • Fluent in Hindi. English and/or French is a plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Highly self-motivated and strong in hands-on role

Position will require domestic travel and possibly international (Europe, Japan, Korea…)

Could be a plus:

  • Major in Digital Audio Processing or similar
  • Programming skills (C/C++) and/or Audio DSP programming skills (NXP, ST, TI, ADI…)
